Connect AI assistants

Let Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants work with your Salesly data — no technical setup required.

You can connect AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT directly to your Salesly account. Once connected, you can ask them things like:

  • "Which opportunities are close to their expected sale date?"
  • "Summarize this week's activity for the Acme Corp account"
  • "Create a follow-up meeting with Acme Corp for next Tuesday"
  • "Log a note on the Acme renewal opportunity"
  • "How is each person on my team doing this month?"

The assistant understands your account's own setup — your pipeline stages (including custom ones), contact types, tags, and campaigns — so you can refer to them by name.

The assistant only ever sees the data your Salesly user is allowed to see, and you can disconnect it at any time.

What you need

  • A Salesly plan with API access (the Settings → Integrations page will tell you if your plan includes it).
  • An AI assistant subscription that supports custom connectors — for example a paid Claude plan or a paid ChatGPT plan.
  • One URL. That's the whole setup.

Where to find your connection URL

  1. Log in to Salesly CRM
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations
  3. Find the MCP / AI assistants card and copy the MCP server URL

You'll paste this single URL into your AI assistant. Sign-in and permissions are handled automatically in your browser — you never need to copy keys, client IDs, or tokens.

Step-by-step guides

Privacy and control

  • You approve access. When you connect, your browser opens a Salesly page where you sign in and review exactly what the assistant may do (for example read contacts, or update opportunities) before approving.
  • Your permissions apply. The assistant acts as your Salesly user. It can never see or change data your own account couldn't.
  • Disconnect anytime. The same MCP / AI assistants card lists every connected assistant with a Revoke button. Revoking cuts off access immediately.

Good to know

  • Some actions the assistant performs (like finishing an order) also trigger background work in Salesly, such as creating the invoice in your connected ERP. The assistant is told when that work is still in progress, and it can check the order again to confirm the invoice exists — if it reports something as "pending", give it a moment and ask it to verify.
  • Each person on your team connects with their own Salesly login. There is no shared account to manage.

Troubleshooting

The assistant says it can't connect. Double-check you pasted the full MCP server URL from Settings → Integrations, with no extra spaces.

The sign-in window doesn't appear. Pop-up blockers can get in the way — allow pop-ups for your assistant's site and try again.

The assistant can't see some records. It sees exactly what your Salesly user sees. If you can't view a record in Salesly, neither can the assistant.

You want to cut off access. Go to Settings → Integrations → MCP / AI assistants and press Revoke next to the assistant.
